The homeowners had been living in this house for nearly 10 years and wanted up update the house built in the 1960s. They were only the second owners and the only updates had been the enclosure of the back porch into a sun room. New bamboo flooring was added on the slab-on-grade floor after removing old carpet, and new ceramic tile was used in the bathrooms. The laundry room had slate tile put down to relate to the front entry vestibule since the family entered mainly from the carport through the laundry room. The carport was also enclosed and solar panels were added along with a new metal roof to bring this home up to current, and even future, standards for family living.
